Our Story
Founded by chartered accountant Carrie Stokes, Spotlight Accounting emerged from decades of experience in both practice and industry. Carrie’s journey, from training at a top-six firm, to running a finance department in a large group, to starting her own practice—shaped our purpose: helping businesses get the insight, systems and strategy they need to succeed. 
Over the years we’ve grown into a team of skilled advisors, technologists and business-minded accountants. But our founding values remain: clarity, partnership and growth.

Founder of Spotlight Accounting with over 20 years’ experience in practice and industry, Carrie is passionate about helping businesses thrive through proactive financial guidance.
Emma Oliver, Client Manager
An ACCA-qualified accountant with a background in both practice and industry, Emma supports clients across a wide range of sectors with clarity and care.
Kayleigh Doggett, Client Manager
With over 16 years’ experience in accountancy, Kayleigh builds strong relationships with clients, helping them streamline their finances and plan for growth.
Lucy Woodrow, Business Support Manager
Bringing over 20 years of admin and coordination experience, Lucy ensures the smooth running of client services and supports the wider team at every stage.
Miles Mckie, Senior Accountant
Miles is an AAT-qualified accountant with experience in personal tax and a particular focus on supporting individual landlords. Outside of work, he enjoys recreating dishes from his travels and keeping active at the gym or on local runs.
Gemma Walker, Client Accountant
Gemma has nearly 14 years’ experience in practice, having begun her accountancy career through an apprenticeship with a local firm. She enjoys the gym, baking, long walks with her husband and their dogs, and relaxing in the hot tub.
Claire Bailey, Client Accountant
Claire joined Spotlight after working in finance for a national retail chain, supporting independent franchisees with their accounts. She enjoys family time with her two young children, holidays, socialising with friends and eating out.
Janine Johnson, Business Support
Janine brings extensive administrative experience, including 12 years in the banking sector, giving her strong organisation and attention to detail. Outside work she enjoys family adventures with her fiancé and daughters, and planning her upcoming wedding.
Chetan Mann, Trainee Accountant
Chetan joined Spotlight as an apprentice and is working towards his accountancy qualifications, with a background in Computer Science, Finance and Economics. In his spare time he enjoys the gym, long walks with his dog Pablo, and playing rugby with friends.
